The Best ER Tool Has Been Updated

When I say the best, I mean that.  I originally bought version 2 of this tool because it didn't cost thousands of dollars like ERWin and the like.  It was - and still is - one of those rare programs today that has a classic footprint (ie it ain't huge when installed) and yet still is feature packed.  Given I usually code with a stack of programming tools open at once, it is nice to use one that aint leading too quickly to HD thrashing.

I've been one of the lucky ones to be able to assist in beta testing this tool in the last few weeks.

SO WHAT IS IT?  Dezign 4 from Datanamic.  Some of the new features include:

• UI has been tweaked so data model edits are quicker
• Versioning has been enhanced - produce a list of differences between versions (bit like RCS/CVS/SVN) and produce database update scripts straight out of the program.
• reverse engineering DBs is now part of the program (instead of an extra stand alone program)

Anyway - thats just some of my highlights.  There are heaps of things in this new version.  You can try it out free for 30 days.
